Dr. Jun Mei - Associate Lecturer
 
Dr. Jun Mei  is currently an Associate Lecturer in the group of Ziqi. He received his PhD from Queensland University of Technology, Australia in Dec. 2019, his BS and MS in Chemical Engineering and Technology from Shandong Normal University (2013) and Changchun University of Technology (2016), China. He was a PhD candidature under the supervision of Dr. Ziqi Sun at QUT. His major research interests involve in design and synthesis of nanomaterials for sustainable energy.
 
 
 
Juan Bai - Research Fellow
 
Dr. Juan Bai is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the group of Ziqi. She received her PhD from Shannxi Normal University in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Yu Chen and MS from Nanjing Normal University in 2015. Her research interest mainly focuses on the design and synthesis of functional nanostructured catalysts for electrochemistry and energy conversion devices.

Yuanwen Zhang
 
Mr. Yuanwen Zhang received his BS in Materials Science and Engineering from Heilongjiang Institute of Technology (2012) and MS in Materials Physics and Chemistry from South China Normal University (2015). He is currently pursuing his PhD under the supervision of Dr. Ziqi Sun at Queensland University of Technology, Australia. His major research interests focus on bio-inspired photonic nanomaterials.
 
 
 
Ziyang Wu
 
Mr. Ziyang Wu received his Bachelor’s degree (2014) in Materials Science and Engineering from Hainan University and Master’s degree (2017) in Materials Physics and Chemistry from Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. After graduation, he held for half a year as a research assistant in Prof. Jianping Yang’s group at Donghua University. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree in the School of Chemistry, Physics and Mechanical Engineering of Queensland University of Technology (QUT) under the supervision of Prof. Ziqi Sun, Prof. Ting Liao, and Prof. Yuantong Gu. His major research interests include the fabrication and application of bio-inspired membrane and Janus electro-catalysts.
 

 
 
 Binodhya Wijerathne
 
Miss Kaushi Binodhya Wijerathne is from Sri Lanka. She completed her Bachelors of Science Special degree majoring in Zoology with a first class honors from University of Sri Jayewarenapura, Sri Lanka in 2017. Then she joined Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology as a research assistant while gaining hands on experience on various aspects of nanotechnology. Binodhya is currently a Master of Philosophy student at QUT under the supervisor of Ziqi. 


 
 
Shuihui Xing
 
Miss Shihui Xing received her Bachelors of Science from Shannxi Normal University in 2019. She is currently a Master of Philosophy student at QUT under the supervisor of Ziqi

 Xiaomin Peng
 
Prof. Xiaomin Peng joined Ziqi’s group at Queensland University of Technology as a visiting scholars in December 2017. He received PhD in Materials science in 2010 at School of Materials Science and Engineering, Central South University, China. He received a position of A/Prof. at Hunan Institute of Engineering, China. His research interests include materials surface, interface and modification.
 
 
 
Joab Praisely Jonatan
 
Mr. Joab Praisely Jonatan received his Bachelor's degree (2017) in Chemistry from Queensland University of Technology (QUT). He is currently pursuing his Honours degree under the supervision of Dr. Ziqi Sun at QUT. His major research interests include switchable wettability of bio-inspired organic nanomaterials for sustainable production
 
 
 
 
Tao Zhao
 
Mr. Tao Zhao is a PhD candidate in the State Key Laboratory for Modification of Chemical Fibers and Polymer Materials at Donghua University. He joined in Dr. Ziqi Sun’s group as a visiting student in December 2017. Currently, his research is focusing on the designed synthesis of mesoporous materials with controllable structures and functions for energy conversion and storage as well as sensors.
 
 
 
Qiannan Liu
 
Miss. Qiannan Liu received her BS and MS degrees in Materials Science from Central South University, China. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Wollongong, Australia under the supervision of Dr. Shulei Chou, Dr. Ziqi Sun and Prof. Shi Xue Dou. Her research interests include the synthesis and self-assembly of complex nanomaterials for sustainable energy applications
 
 
 
 
Himmatsinh Chavada
 
Mr. Himmatsinh Chavada is pursuing Master in Mechanical Engineering with QUT and doing the research project of "bio-inspired anti-fouling coatings" in Ziqi's Group. Himm has finished his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from India and has 6 years of industrial experience before studying at QUT.
 
 
 
 
Can Cao
 
Dr. Can Cao was a visitor in Ziqi's group at the School of Chemistry, Physics and Mechanical Engineering, Queensland University of Technology, Australia during Dec 2016-Dec 2017. She received her PhD in Materials Physics and Chemistry in 2012 at School of Materials Science and Engineering, Central South University, China. She received a position of lecturer at School of Physics and Electronics, Central South University, Changsha City, China.  Her research interest includes the electronic and transport properties of nano-electronic devices.
 
 
 
 
Yuhai Dou
 
Mr. Yuhai Dou received his BS degree (2010) and Master’s degree (2013) in Material Science and Engineering at Central South University (China). He pursued his PhD degree in the fields of electrochemistry and surface wettability at the University of Wollongong under the supervision of Dr. Ziqi Sun and Prof. Shi Xue Dou (the roles were swapped for the move of Ziqi), and received his PhD degree in Dec. 2016. His research interests include the synthesis and characterization of two-dimensional transition metal oxides and their applications in lithium and sodium ion batteries, catalysts, and oil/water separation.
 
 
 
 
 Hui Dong

Mr. Hui Dong is currently a PhD student at Southeast University China under the supervision of Prof. Litao Sun, and he visited Dr. Ziqi Sun's Group at Queensland University of Technology as an Occupied Trainee in 2016-2017.
